Our drivers have on average at least three years of experience each and receive ongoing training on how to safely and efficiently transport and replace compressed air cylinders. They drive well-maintained trucks that are routinely reviewed by the California Highway Patrol Safety Division, and ensure every tank is properly connected to your beverage system or beer draught. Additionally, our drivers have the ability to identify when there is a problem, such as a leak or a bad regulator.

For our customers in our Orange County, Los Angeles, and Inland Empire service area, our gases are delivered on a weekly, biweekly, four-week, or as-needed basis. Additionally, clients who have completed all paperwork and are on an ongoing contract can receive same-day delivery -- a service that few competitors are able to accommodate. Same-day beverage gas delivery must be requested early in the day (usually before 2pm) and requires an additional fee. This service is particularly important for restaurants since the sale of fountain drinks offers such a high profit margin.

For residential customers who have their own gas tanks, we offer affordable and convenient CO2, nitrogen, or blended gas tank refill services as well as hydrostatic testing and tank requalification at our Santa Ana office. Walk-in tank refill is available Monday through Friday, from 9am to 4pm.

Giant CO2 is centrally located in Santa Ana, California. As such, we are able to provide CO2, nitrogen, and blended gas to Orange County customers from La Habra to San Clemente, and regularly travel to select parts of Riverside, San Bernardino, and Los Angeles counties.

In Los Angeles, we can deliver to anywhere south of the 105, including the cities of El Segundo, Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach, Torrance, Long Beach, and Lakewood. As we travel up the 605 freeway, we can also make stops in Whittier, Santa Fe Springs,and La Mirada.

In San Bernardino, we generally stay south of the 210 and the 91, which means we can serve locations throughout Chino, Ontario, Fontana, and Rancho Cucamonga.

In Riverside, we provide our beverage gas delivery services to Riverside, and Corona.

Beer gas is typically used to push beer out of a keg, and is custom mixed according to whatever the beer manufacturer recommends (e.g. 50/50, 60/40, 75/25). For Guinness, for example, we are certified to produce their specific blend of CO2 and nitrogen to within 2% of their target ratio. Giant CO2 makes it easy and affordable for those in Orange County who wish to fill or refill a small, 5- to 20-pound CO2 tank or cylinder for their soda system kegerator or hydroponic system. Between the hours of 9am and 4pm, Monday through Friday, customers are welcome to walk into our office with their unbranded, new or used tanks. Our office is located at 531 Goetz Avenue in Santa Ana, California. Most CO2 tank refills take just a few minutes, but can take as long as 30 minutes if you request a custom beer gas, which allows time for putting your filled container on a special rolling table to be thoroughly blended.

CO2 Gas Cylinder Testing: Hydrostatic Testing & Tank Recertification

 

The Department of Transportation (DOT) requires all compressed gas cylinders to be recertified every five years. Without proper certification, a cylinder cannot be refilled. To determine if your CO2 tank needs to be recertified, check the date stamped near its neck. If the date falls outside of the last five years, you'll need to have the cylinder hydrostatic tested (aka hydro-tested) by a DOT-approved facility.

At Giant CO2, we are proud to offer tank recertification services through our affiliated subdivision, Orange County Cylinder Requalification (OCCR). OCCR is DOT approved. Residential customers must bring their tanks in to our Santa Ana facility, but we can arrange tank pickup and dropoff for commercial and industrial customers who meet our minimum requirement. Recertification takes about a week, and includes a new date stamp. We can also fill the tank with the gas of your choice before we return it to you. Call today to learn more.
